Sonar is a support tool that uses your cell phone's sensors (camera, magnetometer, and network information) to help identify signals that often indicate hidden cameras. It is not a professional security service and does not replace a specialized inspection when the risk is high.
Every finding is displayed with a confidence level (low, medium, or high) and an explanation. Sonar never definitively declares "camera found" or "environment safe"—this is intentional. You are responsible for the final decision regarding any object or environment inspected.
Use Sonar only to inspect environments to which you have a legitimate right of access (your hotel room, your accommodation, your fitting room). Do not use the app to violate the privacy of others.
The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will detect all existing cameras or that every reported finding is, in fact, a surveillance device. Common metallic objects and natural reflections may generate low to medium confidence results.
When available, paid features will be clearly identified before purchase, with price and content displayed in the app store itself. Refunds follow the App Store or Google Play policy, as applicable.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Significant changes will be indicated within the app itself.
Sonar is developed by Garra Labs. Questions can be sent to [email protected] or through the app's Help screen.
